Happy Friday FORCE Families!

As we say goodbye to September and hello officially to Autumn, we hope your child's school year continues to be an awesome one.  Students are now midway through the 1st trimester and are working hard at learning all the new standards that their new grade levels and new teachers are expecting of them.  Progress reports go home today for students who are struggling in certain areas, to give those parents a heads up on where their student may need some extra support going forward.  September was a blast filled with fun moments for our students, from PE, and Music, to School SING and our PBIS FORCE Ticket acknowledgments...all of this topped off with our amazing Dance - A- Thon that our students absolutely LOVED!  We are looking forward to an outstanding October coming up with more School SING, more student acknowledgment, our SOCKtober sock drive, Dine Out Nights, our Dancing Feet Assembly our Book Fair with Grand Events, and our 1st ever Harvest Festival!  Top all of that off with the amazing learning and engagement with our amazing staff, we love watching Fiddyment's students truly thrive on The Farm!

Our school mission is to maximize learning for each member of our FORCE!

Dance - A- Thon Recap

Wow is all we can say!  The Dance - A- Thon was a complete success, which is measured by the countless smiles and compliments from our students - they absolutely loved it!  They were in awe of the multipurpose room decorated with neon decoration, lit up by black lights!  From the dancing, to the playing, the kids had an amazing time! The teachers also felt it was a wonderful change of pace from our Jog-A-Thon and are hoping we can do it again next year!

We can't thank the PTC and all of the volunteers who made the event happen!  It was very well organized and smoothly run and we appreciate everyone's hard work to make it a fantastic event for the students!  AWESOME job to Tiffany Stearns and Jessica Landis the two organizers for the event -  your work and the work of your crew is beyond appreciated!

Our wonderful and amazing Administrative Secretary, Nora Liang, is saying goodbye to The Farm!  We are so sad to see her go, as she helped open the school and has been a guardian of the front office for 5 years!  Although we will miss her, we are very happy for her, as she has accepted a new job and in a position at the District Office!  You will always be here in spirit Nora and will always be a member of The FORCE!

Nora's last day is this coming Friday, October 5th.  So if you come into the office this week, please wish her well on her new adventure!

Jedi Council - "Socktober"
Hello Fiddyment Farm Families!  The Fiddyment Farm Jedi Council got started this week and we are hitting the ground running.  This year, the Jedi Council is participating in Kid President's SOCKtober!  Our school will collect socks and we will donate them to the Roseville Salvation Army.  This ensures that all of the socks we collect will directly benefit people in our very own community.

The Jedi council is very excited about this initiative and we have made a huge goal of 1,000 pairs of NEW socks!  We realize it's a big goal, but we feel that if everyone pitches in we can meet this goal easily!  It's an easy way to get involved and show a small act of kindness.

Let' s make this HUGE!  You can post to social media #SOCKtober - get friends, family, and community members involved!  Have a business that would love to pitch in?  Let's get them involved too!  Let's make our community a little more awesome!

May the FORCE be with you!
Mrs. Bews & The Jedi Council

Bike and Scooter Reminder For Students

Parents, please remind your children, as we continue to do so, that it is not safe and against school expectations for students to ride their bikes and scooters anywhere on campus, including the parking lot/waiting areas.

In the morning, as soon as students come onto campus, they should get off of their bikes and scooters and walk them to the gate they wait to come in when the bell rings.  And at dismissal students should walk their bikes and scooters all the way to the sidewalk/street, clear of the campus and other students.

These safety measures, will help to ensure that students who are walking or standing on campus, are not run into by students riding bikes or scooters, which seems to be a major issue, when students are adhering to the proper expectations.  A simple reminder from you each day, may be all your child needs to stay safe - thank you!
