Happy Wednesday FORCE Families & Happy New Year!
We hope that your 2021 is off to a wonderful start and that your child's first couple of days back at school or back online for distance learning have been a smooth transition! The staff at Fiddyment is happy to be back and welcoming our amazing students and families into 2021.
We hope that you all found your own special way to continue your traditions and possibly made new ones for this holiday season, and of course, we hope our students got ample time to rest and reset.
As we start we continue the journey of in person learning into 2021, please be mindful of these important safety procedures at Fiddyment Farm - The closer we can conform to these expectations, the less chance there will be of classroom or the whole school having to quarantine and switch to distance learning.
1. If your child complains about being ill or shows symptoms of illness while at school, they will most likely be sent home. When this happens, our district nursing staff will then reach out to the family and inquire about the student, documenting symptoms, and giving a timeline for that student to return to school. This could be the next day, or staying out for a longer period - it all depends on the symptoms and possible COVID-19 risk/exposure. PLEASE NOTE - Fiddyment Farm is bound to the directive of the district office nurse's COVID team and cannot overturn their plan for students to return to school. We appreciate your patience if one of your children become ill and have to stay away from school for a period of time, as we CANNOT let students return unless they are cleared by the nursing team. If you have a child out for a period longer than a day or two, your child will be offered school work to stay up to speed on classroom learning.
2. Please do a proper health check of your children BEFORE they come to school - take their temp, ask about queasy tummies and headaches, check for runny and stuffy noses, and listen for coughs. And if your child has symptoms of being sick for any reason, please keep them home until they feel better - they can always catch up on the work, but getting others sick could lead to bad outcomes down the road!
2. Please make sure your child does NOT leave the house without a face covering, especially if they are in grades 3-5, where it is mandatory. Even though it is not mandatory in TK-2, it is strongly recommended for students to wear a mask or face shield to keep themselves and others as safe as possible. So far EVERYONE has been doing AWESOME with this!
3. Please remember our new attendance procedure - if your child is staying home from school, you no longer need to call - just fill out the quick Google Form - LINK HERE!
4. Please try to refrain from dropping off items in our school office. We need to limit the amount of exposure to others in order to keep you and our staff safe.

If you have a new TK or K, or are moving into the Fiddyment area - you must fill out registration!

REMINDER:
During drop off and pickup, parents are NOT allowed to park in the loop and exit their vehicles. This holds up the flow of traffic.
If you need to exit your vehicle for any reason, please park in a parking stall in the parking lot or side street - Thank you!

Happy New Year Force Families! 
The start of a new year is the perfect time to clean out those closets! We have extended our shoe drive to Wednesday January 13th. We are in need of gently used or new shoes. Donated pairs will be shipped to developing countries around the world, while simultaneously raising funds for our school. We can take any size/type of shoe, so long as there are no holes and the soles are not worn thin. Donation bins will be located at the front gates during school hours.

We have a big goal to collect 500 more pairs of shoes before the end of our drive. Please help us out by donating and sharing this post with your nearby family and friends!
