Happy Friday FORCE Families!

What a whirlwind the end of October has been here at Fiddyment!  The trimester is winding down and our teachers are hard at work on preparing for next week's Parent - Teacher Conferences!  They are so excited to speak with parents to go over student progress and plan for a successful rest of the school year!

Last week was amazing here on The Farm - from the fabulous Enchanted Book Fair that coincided with our GRAND lunch events, to Red Ribbon spirit week, and the awesome community Harvest Festival - it was such a jam packed week of fun for our students, a great way to wind down October and the 1st trimester!

REMINDERS For the Coming Week:

  • TOMORROW (10/30) is Picture Retake Day - if you missed your pictures back in Sept, now is your chance to snazz it up and smile for pics!
  • NO SCHOOL on Thursday (11/1) and Friday (11/2) - These are teacher training days!
  • Wednesday is Halloween, and we DO NOT allow students to wear costumes to school, as unfortunately they become a distraction to the learning process. - It was awesome to see so many of our students in costume at the Harvest Festival!
  • Next week is Parent Conference Week - Please plan for early dismissal all week:

Harvest Festival
THANK YOU!
We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our amazing Fiddyment community for coming out to enjoy the 1st ever Harvest Festival food, games, and fun!  It was an absolute blast, and it was outstanding to see so many smiling young faces and kind regards from parents - it seems everyone truly enjoyed their time at the event!

And we can't thank the Parent Volunteers  enough who made the event happen!  They worked their tails off on planning, organizing and carrying out the games, decorations, treats/food, arts and craft, and the music - we appreciate all of your time and effort!

To see some pics of the Harvest Festival - check out our Facebook Page - HERE!

Book Fair - Thank you!

An enormous thank you goes out to all of the parent volunteers that helped out with the Book Fair this year.  We truly appreciate your time.  And a special shout out to Sherryl Ziadeh and Susan Chaney for all of their time and hard work that they both put in charing the event and doing the bulk of organization, planning, decorating and pulled off a glorious Book Fair!  The students absolutely loved the theme and all of the wonderful books and goodies the fair had to offer.  They did an awesome job with planning the GRAND lunch events as well, as all relatives that came to eat and shop with their kiddo, had a great experience!

The Book Fair earned a ton of money, all of which goes straight back into the Library for Mrs. Enos to upkeep books and order the latest and greatest for our students to enjoy!

We appreciate the community outpouring of support for the Book Fair and we thank everyone again for making it such an outstanding event!

Bike and Scooter Reminder For Students

Parents, please remind your children, as we continue to do so, that it is not safe and against school expectations for students to ride their bikes and scooters anywhere on campus, including the parking lot/waiting areas.

In the morning, as soon as students come onto campus, they should get off of their bikes and scooters and walk them to the gate they wait to come in when the bell rings.  And at dismissal students should walk their bikes and scooters all the way to the sidewalk/street, clear of the campus and other students.

These safety measures, will help to ensure that students who are walking or standing on campus, are not run into by students riding bikes or scooters, which seems to be a major issue, when students are adhering to the proper expectations.  A simple reminder from you each day, may be all your child needs to stay safe - thank you!

Happy Friday FORCE Families!

October and the Fall weather are officially here, and wow, is it gorgeous on the Farm!  October is filled with so many awesome activities for the students - as they are in the tail end of Trimester 1, and really getting heavier into their academic learning, we are so thrilled that we get to balance that learning with fun at Fiddyment.
Our students are loving the variety of assemblies lined up at Fiddyment this year - We got to see the Roseville High School Dancing Feet dancers, which the students loved, and our garbage waste management assembly is just around the corner.  But beyond that we have planned author visits, acrobats, theater, wild things, and more!  October has much more fun as well - The Book Fair is just around the corner, and it is going to AMAZING - so many fun extra activities built in this year with continued community involvement!  We also have the Harvest Festival, a free family event coming up at the end of October which is going to be FANTASTIC!  It is going to be an awesome rest of October and seeing all of the student's smiles makes it all worthwhile!

Jedi Council - "Socktober"
Have you brought in your sock donation yet?  If not, there is still half a month left!  We truly appreciate all of you who have donated socks so far and those who plan to going forward!

The Jedi council is very excited about this initiative and we have made a huge goal of 1,000 pairs of NEW socks!  We realize it's a big goal, but we feel that if everyone pitches in we can meet this goal easily!  It's an easy way to get involved and show a small act of kindness.

Let' s make this HUGE!  You can post to social media #SOCKtober - get friends, family, and community members involved!  Have a business that would love to pitch in?  Let's get them involved too!  Let's make our community a little more awesome!

And to get the students and staff in the spirit, we are dedicating every FRIDAY in October as a spirit day - CRAZY SOCK DAY - So students, wear your craziest socks the next 2 Fridays, to remind everyone to participate in this initiative! - Thank you!
